Learn more at * *.*Role Description*We are seeking a *full-time, in-office Family Law Attorney* to join our team in Columbia, MO. This attorney will assume an active caseload of approximately *30-40 family law files*, with the expectation of growing the caseload. You will be supported by an experienced *paralegal*, as well as the broader resources of the firm.This role involves handling a variety of family law matters including divorce, custody and child support, paternity, adoption, modifications, and marital property disputes. The attorney will be responsible for case management, client communication, motion practice, discovery, settlement negotiation, and trial work. Strong litigation skills and the ability to manage cases proactively and efficiently are essential.*Responsibilities** Manage an active caseload of 30-40+ family law files* Communicate promptly and clearly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and updates* Draft pleadings, motions, settlement proposals, and correspondence* Conduct discovery, take depositions, and prepare cases for mediation, hearings, and trial* Represent clients in court proceedings"”strong courtroom presence is required* Work collaboratively with paralegals and attorneys within the firm* Maintain thorough and organized case files and meet all deadlines* Stay informed on developments in Missouri family law*Qualifications** Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school* Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri Bar* Demonstrated experience in litigation, trial work, or family law practice* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong organization, time management, and follow-through* Ability to manage client expectations and maintain professional, compassionate client relationships* High level of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently in an in-office setting*Compensation*Compensation is *commensurate with experience* and may be structured as either:* A *straight salary*, or* A *contingency/percentage-based compensation arrangement -- *In this model, the attorney would establish their own *LLC* and operate in a manner similar to an *independent contractor (1099)* rather than a W-2 employee. xijylhu This structure provides greater flexibility and earning potential based on performance.* Benefits package includes: health, dental, vision and disabilty insurance, retirement, etc.Pay: $80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
