Attorney

Our firm is seeking an attorney to join our growing firm. Caseload will include a variety of immigration cases and criminal case representation. Attorney duties will consist of representing clients in immigration proceedings, conducting interviews, preparing applications and legal pleadings, managing caseloads, and performing other related tasks. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, and a strong writer. Applicants MUST be a member in good standing with the Georgia Bar.The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.Key Responsibilities* Defend clients in criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, including arraignments, pre-trial motions, plea negotiations, and trials.* Advise clients on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and collaborate with immigration counsel to mitigate risks.* Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, petitions, and appeals, in both immigration and criminal courts.* Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration and criminal law.* Appear in immigration court, criminal court, and administrative hearings as needed.* Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.* Provide compassionate, culturally competent legal services to diverse client populations.* Collaborate with paralegals, interpreters, and other attorneys to ensure high-quality representation.Qualifications* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.* Active license to practice law in Georgia.* Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration and/or criminal defense law.* Strong understanding of the intersection between immigration and criminal law.* Excellent oral and written communication skills. xijylhu * Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
