*LOCATION: Southern Oklahoma/North Texas*Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.*JOB SUMMARY:*As a Senior Estimator at Overland Corporation in our estimating department, you will play a critical role in leading a team of estimators and overseeing the estimation process. Coordinate and lead activities of an estimating team, review estimates, maintain records, and assist other team members.*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*Lead constructability reviews, quantify take-offs, and pricing for multiple disciplines on a pursuit.Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.Possess a fundamental knowledge of earthwork grading, bridge construction, drainage pipe installation, and roadway paving (concrete/asphalt).Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.Take responsibility for bid closeout.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.Coordinate and lead the activities of a team of estimators, review estimates, and maintain records.Establish and maintain budget control during the estimating / preconstruction phases of the project.Analyze and review engineering contracts, plans, and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates.Oversee the estimating function and associated workflow in a project environment, coordinating input from internal and external groups required for estimate and proposals.Ensure the estimating and proposal activities are in accordance with Overland Corporation codes and standards.Participate in post-bid reviews and project handover meetings.*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 5-10 years of experience in civil estimating or a related role.Strong knowledge of Heavy Civil, Earthwork, Drainage, Pipe Installation, Asphalt Paving, and Bridge Building.Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, engineering drawings, means and methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.Proficiency in estimating software and related tools such *as HCSS-Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6*.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Minimal traveling is required for this position.*Benefits and EOC:*We offer our full-time staff employees a comprehensive benefits package that's competitive our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, voluntary wellness and employee assistance programs, life insurance, disability, retirement plans with matching contributions, and generous paid time off.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.For additional company information, please visit Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. xijylhu All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Relocation assistanceWork Location: In person
