Full-Time Auto Shop Mechanic - $34.00 - $39.00/hr

Overview:Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.Job Summary:The Auto Shop Mechanic performs various skilled technical services on park equipment and vehicles.Responsibilities:Activities include:* Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of vehicles of licensed highway vehicles and off highway vehicles. Must also be willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance.* Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.* Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, and pneumatics.* Must be certified in major engine overhaul* Must be certified in front end, brake and suspension.* Must be able to operate updated and current vehicle scanners. Must familiar with emissions controls.Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess:* Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.* Must possess updated ASE certification.* A valid California Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.* Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.* Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights.* Vocational or technical trade certifications. xijylhu * Demonstrate communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.
