Job Description

*Job Summary:*In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.The Injection Mold Engineer plays a critical role in the *development and launch of new products* by leading the setup, validation, and handoff of injection molding processes. This role bridges design, tooling, and production to ensure that new molds and processes are developed efficiently, meet quality standards, and transition smoothly into mass production.*Duties** Lead the *process setup and validation* for new models, including mold trials, DOE (Design of Experiments), capability studies, and full production handoff.* Work closely with product design and tool designers to ensure parts and molds are manufacturable and compliant with company standards.* Develop and document *standardized molding processes* for each new tool, ensuring consistency and repeatability.* Collaborate with tooling vendors and internal toolrooms to oversee new mold fabrication, testing, and modification.* Conduct mold acceptance trials (T0/T1/T2) and provide feedback for tooling optimization.* Establish robust process parameters for new tools and products.* Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Tooling, Supply Chain, Customers).* Train production staff and technicians on new processes to ensure successful scale-up and long-term stability.* Support *standardization of mold designs, components, and processing methods* across new product lines.* Drive continuous improvement projects during new product launches to reduce cycle time, improve yield, and enhance manufacturability.* Support launch team with a *wide variety* other process preparation tasks including but not limited to: process documentation, prototype event parts preparation, misc. customer documentation, misc. process engineering work.*Preferred Skills:** Hands-on experience with multi-cavity, hot runner, or high-precision molds.* Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, or other structured NPI frameworks.* Experience in mold standardization programs for new model development.* Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma problem-solving methods. xijylhu * Automotive background working at either OEM or OEM supplier.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insurancePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
