Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary:  Industrial Engineer specializing in the implementation, commissioning, and optimization of diverse automation systems and machinery. This role encompasses a wide range of equipment, including various forms of automation, robotics, and production machinery sourced from both domestic and foreign manufacturers. Collaborating with internal teams such as operations, automation, and maintenance, they ensure seamless integration, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Their expertise drives reliable system performance, process improvements, and adaptability to evolving manufacturing needs. Responsibilities:  Lead the planning, installation, and commissioning of automation systems and machinery from diverse origins, including domestic and foreign-constructed equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and integration into company workflows. Coordinate with domestic and foreign vendors and suppliers for equipment selection, procurement, delivery, and installation of components such as robotics, conveyors, automated controls, or specialized systems. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including automation engineers, operations, and maintenance technicians, to integrate various forms of machinery and automation seamlessly. Develop and update process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and commissioning plans using tools like AutoCAD, Visio, or simulation software, accommodating specifications from global suppliers. Conduct diagnostics, validation testing, and root-cause analysis during machine startup and ongoing operations to resolve issues across a variety of automation and machinery types. Work closely with production and technical teams to troubleshoot commissioning and operational issues, implementing improvements based on feedback and performance data from both domestic and international equipment. Support the creation of commissioning documentation, including SOPs, startup checklists, and training materials tailored to diverse machinery for internal operators and maintenance staff. Analyze legacy systems, competitor equipment, or newly acquired foreign/domestic machinery to inform implementation strategies and enhance in-house capabilities. Identify opportunities to optimize performance through process improvements, automation enhancements, ergonomic designs, and integration of advanced technologies from various sources.  Stay current with global industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies related to automation, machinery commissioning, and industrial systems (e.g., ISO, OSHA, ANSI, IEC). Must Haves: Proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools (AutoCAD, Visio, Arena, or similar) for equipment layout, integration, and commissioning planning across diverse systems. Strong understanding of machine implementation processes, including installation, startup, and validation of various automation and machinery types from domestic and foreign sources. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex equipment issues during commissioning and operations involving varied automation forms. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating with internal teams, global vendors, and documenting processes for diverse machinery. Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), SCADA, or ERP systems for integrating and monitoring equipment performance from global suppliers. Solid knowledge of industrial standards (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA safety regulations, ANSI, IEC) and commissioning protocols for both domestic and international machinery. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and coordination with international partners. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine implementation, commissioning, automation integration, or manufacturing process optimization, including work with domestic and foreign-constructed equipment. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of computer-aided analysis, documentation, and on-site commissioning work Ability to lift up to 15 pounds for occasional field or shop work Comfortable working in manufacturing or shop-floor environments during equipment installation, startup, and maintenance of various automation and machinery.  Company DescriptionArchitectural Builders Hardware Manufacturing, Inc.
