This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful and diverse infrastructure projects that directly impact local communities.Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.Position OverviewAs a Design Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and contribute to a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute work across multiple projects simultaneously.Perform calculations, analyses, and prepare clear technical memoranda.Develop engineering plans, specifications, and design documentation.Provide engineering support services throughout project construction phases.Contribute to the design of water and wastewater systems, including:Pumping systems and hydraulics for liquids, slurries, and viscous materialsOpen channel flow hydraulicsWater/wastewater process designPiping system design: materials, layout, supports, anchorage, expansion controlEarthwork and roadway designChemical storage and feed systemsResiduals management systemsStormwater management and treatment solutions QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering2-5 years of relevant design experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reportsExperience with projects in the NYC Metro area is a plusCompany DescriptionSavin Engineers, P.C. is a well-established, mid-size engineering firm headquartered in Westchester County, NY with offices in Pleasantville, NY, Rochester, NY, Bridgewater, NJ and Washington DC.
