Downtown Dallas firm is seeking an associate attorney to join the firm in its Dallas office to work on personal injury and construction defect matters. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years' experience working on similar matters.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.The associate attorney provides legal work and collaborates with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants on civil litigation matters. The job responsibilities may include, among others, managing a docket of litigation files, which may include drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda and briefs, discovery demands and responses, conducting legal research, preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, trials, and communicating with courts and opposing parties.ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of litigating personal injury and construction defect cases, including written discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial.Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, appeals, status reports, and any other necessary legal documentationResearch and analyze legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, constitutions, and legal codesFormulate legal strategy and manage active docketAppear in court for hearings and trialsWork closely with other attorneys and team members on legal mattersCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsMinimum QualificationsJD degree from an accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas4+years of prior experience practicing law, although candidates with less experience may be consideredPrevious work experience on civil litigation matters with focus on construction and/or personal injury defenseExcellent written and oral communication skills and experience in handling a large volume of cases in a fast-paced environment. xijylhu Ability to manage a caseload independently and responsiblyHybrid opportunitySome travel may be requiredJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Vision insuranceEducation:* Doctorate (Required)Experience:* practicing law: 4 years (Required)* Personal injury law: 4 years (Required)Work Location: In personRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
