EWIE Group of Companies and its subsidiaries are *global leaders in commodity management services* spanning cutting tools, abrasives, special tools, industrial supplies and chemical management services with over 40 years of experience.Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.PSMi, a valued subsidiary of EWIE Group of Companies, is seeking a highly motivated *Tooling Manager*, must be a problem solver with a positive attitude to collaborate with our customer, a large manufacturer, and drive improvements in their company's output and performance.*This position is for our customer, EATON based in Beltsville, MD**Primary Responsibilities may include the following:**Leadership & Site Oversight** Supervise on-site personnel and oversee implementation of company initiatives* Promote safety culture through training and coaching* Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and service levels* Establish and lead collaborative meetings with customer teams to discuss program performance and improvement opportunities.*Operational & Financial Management** Manage key performance indicators (KPIs), contractual metrics, and operational budget* Track spend, cost savings, inventory, and other customer commitments.* Utilize financial data to assess impact on customer cost-per-unit (CPU).* Support resolution of late shipments and internal AR requirements.* Oversee customer supply chain and inventory performance.*Vendor & Supply Chain Management** Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and tooling manufacturers.* Perform inventory analysis and recommend stocking level adjustments.* Coordinate with vendors on issue resolution and improvement initiatives.* Manage MRO/tooling vending programs and consigned materials per contract requirements.* Track and resolve shortages to prevent production disruptions.*Tooling Engineering Support** Develop, test, and implement tooling improvements to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.* Partner with customer engineering on tooling changes driven by process or part modifications.* Conduct root cause analysis on premature tooling failure and lead corrective actions.* Drive scrap reduction and increase machine uptime through tooling optimization.* Host and participate in customer meetings to align on shared goals.*Technical Documentation & Continuous Improvement** Premature tool logs* Tool testing proposals* Tooling prints* PFEP (Plan for Every Part)* Scrap logs*Support and report on the following metrics:** A/R Days Outstanding* Inventory Turns* Open Orders* Profitability* Delivery Performance* Cutter & Vending Replenishment Processes* Employee Action Decks* Report and analyze tool/material over-consumption or overspend.* Generate and update documentation including reports, databases, trends, and change logs.* Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet production needs.* Manage root cause analysis and corrective action reports (NCRs/CARs) for tooling-related issues.* Oversee and document internal and external tooling-related activities in alignment with quality plans.*Strategic Initiatives** Lead savings and cost-reduction initiatives; track and manage via SharePoint.* Prepare and present technical and economic solutions to customers.* Implement approved solutions and provide updates on progress.* Collaborate with suppliers to improve tool life and solve performance issues.* Monitor tool performance and life cycle, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. xijylhu *Employment Benefits:** Health, Dental, Vision* FSA & HSA available* Life & Disability* 401k Plan* Company Match* Paid Holidays* Paid Days Off* Wellness Reimbursement* Tuition ReimbursementJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Relocation assistance* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* Do you now, or will you in the future require work sponsorship?Education:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* Industrial CNC Machining: 2 years (Preferred)* Cutting Tool Management: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
