Diesel Technician

The Fleet Technician is responsible for performing truck preventative maintenance and services to ensure maximum uptime for lease and rental customers. *All training required for success in this position will be provided. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Perform PM services such as oil or fluid changes, DOT inspections, grease/lube, etc. in regular intervals and completing appropriate paperwork or business system tasks to track & follow-through.* Perform truck services as needed beyond typical PMs - such as alternator/starter replacement, A/C service, light body repairs, radiator or cooling system services, brake services, etc.* Ability to diagnose issues with vehicles and communicate with management or customers.* Perform truck check-in or check-out procedures such as light cleanup, washing, refueling, removing decals or license plates, basic inspections of components under supervision of technicians.* Ability to drive trucks or company cars between locations as needed.* Complete all safety and technical training for Idealease Fleet Technicians.* Other duties as assigned.*QUALIFICATIONS:** Valid CDL required or ability to obtain one immediately.* Completed High School diploma or equivalent educational experience.* 3+ Years of Technician Experience, fleet or dealership* Must be able to lift 75lbs and carry a distance of 5 feet.* Must be able to climb a ladder (5-8 feet) and work on a platform on occasion.* Periodic bending, reaching, kneeling, or working on a creeper.*LAKESIDE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER*Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* Do you have a valid driver's license, and have you had fewer than three (3) moving violations (e.g., speeding tickets, at-fault accidents, reckless driving) in the past five (5) years? xijylhu If no, please explain.Experience:* Preventive maintenance: 3 years (Required)* A/C service: 1 year (Preferred)* vehicle diagnosing : 1 year (Required)* light body repairs: 1 year (Preferred)* Brake repair: 1 year (Required)* Mechanic: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute:* Madison, WI 53704 (Required)Work Location: In person
