Commercial Installer - Office Furniture (Systems & Modular) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Installer with demonstrated skill installing office furniture in active commercial environments.Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.This role requires hands-on proficiency with modular systems, benching, private office furniture, and ancillary pieces, along with the ability to read installation plans and work safely and efficiently.Verifiable references confirming commercial installation experience are required.Key Responsibilities Install, reconfigure, and decommission commercial office furniture, including: Modular panel systems, tile/stack walls, and workstations Benching systems, desking, tables, and training rooms Private office suites, conference rooms, and reception areas Seating, filing/storage, and accessories Interpret floorplans, elevation drawings, and installation instructions; field-verify dimensions.Coordinate on-site with project leads, building management, and other trades to maintain schedule.Ensure product integrity (no damage), proper alignment/leveling, and clean finished presentation.Safely use tools and equipment (power tools, carts, dollies, lifts as applicable).Maintain a clean, organized work area; remove debris and packaging per site requirements.Document issues (missing/damaged parts, field conditions) and communicate solutions quickly.Follow all safety standards, including PPE requirements and site-specific rules.Required Qualifications (Must Have) Proven commercial office furniture installation experience (systems/modular preferred).Demonstrated proficiency with verifiable references (minimum 2 references who can confirm commercial install quality, reliability, and jobsite conduct).Ability to read and execute from installation drawings/floor plans.Strong mechanical aptitude and precision measuring/leveling skills.Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend/stoop, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills (client sites).Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Experience with major furniture lines (examples: Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Teknion, KI, Allsteel, Global, etc.).Experience with on-site punch lists, warranty calls, and reconfiguration work.OSHA-10 (or willingness to obtain), lift certification, or relevant safety training.Ability to lead a small crew and mentor junior installers.Tools & Equipment Must be comfortable using standard installation tools (drills/impact drivers, levels, laser measure, saws where permitted, etc.).Personal hand tools preferred; company may provide specialty tools depending on project.Work Environment & Schedule Commercial job sites; may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on project schedules.Work may occur in occupied spaces; professionalism and minimal disruption are essential.Pre-Employment / Screening Requirements Reference checks required (commercial installation). xijylhu Ability to pass basic jobsite onboarding requirements as applicable (badge access, safety orientation, etc.).How to Apply Submit a brief summary of commercial installation experience and at least two verifiable references (name, company, phone/email, project type, and dates worked).
