UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSREMOTE opportunity15 days of vacation your first year - Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b)PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, implement, and maintain CMDB data model, relationships, and health dashboardsLead Discovery and Service Mapping implementation, ensuring accurate and secure service-to-infrastructure visibilityDevelop and maintain Event Management integrations with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Azure Monitor)Oversee MID Server deployment, upgrades, and performance optimizationHelp define CI class governance, reconciliation rules, and normalization strategiesCollaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams for integration and alignment of asset and service dataLead complex ServiceNow enhancements and integrations spanning ITSM and ITOM suitesDevelop and review advanced scripts, flows, and integrations leveraging REST/SOAP and JDBCEnsure code quality, reusability, and adherence to platform standards and governanceConduct performance tuning, impact assessments, and upgrade readiness reviewsContribute to platform roadmap inputs, risk/impact assessments, and cost estimatesBack up architectural reviews when neededMentor Engineers I and Developers I/II in ITOM and CMDB practicesFacilitate cross-team design sessions and promote operational automation and observabilityPartner with ITIL process owners to align CMDB and Discovery to Config, Change, Incident, and Problem workflowsRepresent ITOM in governance and architecture discussionsPartner with ITIL owners to align configuration with processesDrive CMDB/data model quality, enable change automation and KPI reportingPromote continual improvement through metrics and retrospectivesREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experienceServiceNow System Administrator and ITOM Implementation Specialist certifications (Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management) within six months if not currentITIL Foundation certification within six months of start date6+ years' experience must include the below:Six or more years of ServiceNow platform engineering experience, with at least three focused on ITOM or CMDB architectureDemonstrated expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB design, Event Management, and MID Server administrationStrong scripting skills in JavaScript and Flow DesignerProven integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs and external data sourcesUW MEDICINE - WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHERUW Medicine is Washington's only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
