Stop and think: howwould YOU put our drinks on everytable?   PositionDescription The Maintenance Manager is responsiblefor providing leadership for the maintenance functions, ensuringproper preventive maintenance of physical plant and all operatingequipment, electrical troubleshooting, minimizing equipmentdowntime to provide maximum production capacity, and compliancewith all Occupational Health and Safetyregulations. EssentialFunctions Continuouslyimproving manufacturing processes in terms of quality andperformance measurements, and identifying and eliminatingbottleneck areas. Seek to ensure reliability of plant andequipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operationcosts and satisfying all safety, environmental etc. regulations inthe process. Design, document, troubleshoot and leadthe launch of new products and processes from an engineeringperspective Identify and solve safety concernsencountered during design and study of manufacturingprocesses Devise hands on improvement processes to reduce scrapand defects while improving throughput and document SOPs and theimplementation of Best Practices into the facility. Coordinate theinstallation of new equipment to maximize production efficiency andmaintainability. Work with production to makemodifications to equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency ofoperation Maintain a knowledge base in the capacity of existingutilities and the current level ofutilization. Stay abreast of the latest safety,environmental and other regulations which affect the facility toensure compliance. Develop and support the capital projectplanning and manage installation projects.Oversee themaintenance of the equipment and the facility to ensure the companyreceives maximum utilization of its assets.Ensure that systemsare in place & followed to maintain reliability of theequipment & processes.Keep writtendocumentation of environmental compliancecurrent. Periodically prepare reports to satisfy environmentaland safety regulations and ensure a safe and professional workenvironment. Reviews, evaluates, counsels,disciplines and discharges employees as necessary to ensuredepartment meets or exceeds productivityrequirements. Evaluates and recommends improvements toproduct manufacturability.Responsible to adhereto food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/orSafe Quality Food requirements.Ensure compliance toall OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards.Investigate and identify root causes of anynon-compliance. Accountable for a safe workingenvironment through the development of strategies focused onaccident reduction as well as energy and wasteminimization. Oversee effective deployment of humanresources throughout the plant and ensure the correctadministration of the collective BargainingAgreement. Requirements Education &Experience: Undergraduate Degree (or equivalentexperience) plus eight (8) years of experience in a high speedmanufacturing environment with a mechanical/electrical backgroundrequired. Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-pacedproduction environment required.Previous experiencein the food/beverage manufacturing industrypreferred. Position-SpecificSkills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows,Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications asrequired. SAP experience is highlypreferred. An understanding of Safe Quality Food (SQF),responsibility for Food Safety /Food Quality and the responsibilityto take action when notified or becomes aware of any Food Safety orFood Quality issue. Must be flexible to work alternateshifts if production needs allow. PhysicalDemands: Physical - Continuously standing orwalking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material orequipment of moderate weight.Visual/Sensory - Thisposition requires regular need to give moderate attention with oneor two senses at a time. Work environment - Work and environmentare very repetitive. Climate - Thisposition requires the incumbent to have the ability to work inambient hot and/or cold seasonalenvironments.
