A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Equivalent to an associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or related sciences.Two (2) years of experience performing chemical or bacteriological tests in a laboratory or treatment plant,or experience equivalent to a Laboratory Technician with the City of Brentwood.Licenses and Certifications:Depending on assignment, possession of a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record must be maintained throughout employment.Possession of a Grade II Laboratory Analyst certification issued by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) or American Water Works Association (AWWA), to be maintained throughout employment.Application ProcessApplicants must submit the following:1.
