Seeking an Electrical Engineer contractor in Delaware, Ohio to design magnetic components for power distribution products, including transformers, chokes, and current transformers to meet specifications for power, configuration, size, cost, efficiency, and manufacturability. Focus is primarily 3 phase dry-type power transformers ranging in size from 50kVA to 2MVA. Responsibilities: Support manufacturing facilities to develop fabrication and testing techniques for magnetic componentsTest prototype components to verify compliance with specificationsAnalyze magnetic component failures to determine root cause and corrective actionReview new materials, design, and manufacturing technologies and recommend adoption for promising technologies Skills Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or experience with power/magnetics design/testPrefer 1-5 years relevant experienceIn-depth knowledge of theory and practice in magnetic component designSkilled in the use of electromechanical simulation, analysis, and design tools such as OSP, Ansoft, or similar. OPS is experience preferred, but will train.Knowledge of agency and compliance (. UL) requirements for magnetic componentsGood written and verbal communications skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments productively.Ability to collaborate on a global scale Reference: 1043357 Don't meet every single requirement?
