This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact with focus on quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dysphagia, sensory impairments, augmentative/alternative communication needs, and patient assessment, and will be committed to delivering high-quality services in a collaborative environment.*Duties** Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for geriatric patients across various diagnosis.* Conducts age-appropriate clinical and functional speech-language/communication assessments, develops therapy treatment plans based upon assessment findings and patient/family input.* Provide therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication.* Collaborate with nursing, dietitians, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency of care.* Serves as educator in appropriate areas to patients, families, clinic staff, school staff and others involved in patient care and programming* Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with all regulatory standards.*Experience** Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders.* Experience conducting patient assessments and therapy programs is advantageous.* Strong understanding of patient care principles within geriatric populations.* Familiarity with school-based programs and collaboration with educational staff is a plus.
