This position offers a unique opportunity to support the practice.The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic also may perform the following tasks in any authorized setting:Obtaining patient historyPerforming physical examinationsOrdering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresFormulating a diagnostic impressionDeveloping and implementing a treatment planMonitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventionsOffering counseling and education to meet patient needsMaking appropriate referralsPrescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policiesDemonstrates ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs.Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy developmentOther departmental or institutional committee assignments as neededWorking in a team structure which includes a residency programDuring the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.QualificationsFamily Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
