Job Type: Full-timeBelow covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Location: Melbourne, FL (HQ) with up to 50% CONUS/OCONUS travelMARTAC is a leading innovator in the maritime uncrewed surface vehicle (USV) market. This position is based out of the Melbourne, FL headquarters with regular domestic and international travel in support of deployed operations, training events, exercises, demonstrations, and testing activities. Each MARTAC employee plays a vital role in delivering leading-edge solutions to military, government, and commercial customers across the globe. We are committed to providing our people with the opportunity to develop deep technical expertise, operational proficiency, and leadership capability in a fast-paced and mission-focused environment.This position reports directly to the Director of Global Operations and serves as a deployable USV operator with embedded software testing and validation responsibilities. The role combines hands-on vessel operations with deep technical engagement to support subsystem integration, commissioning, validation, and sustainment of MARTAC USV platforms both CONUS and OCONUS locations.*Duties / Responsibilities*· Create and execute software test plans in coordination with MARTAC Software leadership.· Execute structured software testing across development, staging, and fielded environments.· Validate software behavior across multiple operational roles including helm, ROC, and MCC.· Capture, document, and report software defects, anomalies, and performance issues.· Support regression testing and new capability rollout events.· Operate MARTAC USV platforms in support of testing, training, demonstrations, and operations.· Serve as an embedded software-aware operator during deployments and exercises.· Assist with operator training related to new or evolving software capabilities.· Translate operational observations into actionable software feedback.· Maintain accurate test logs, records, and documentation.· Comply with all company, OSHA, and customer safety requirements.· Represent MARTAC professionally during customer-facing operations.· Deploy as part of small operational teams (2-3 personnel) and support sustained operations at customer.· Provide onsite technical support during deployments, trials, and demonstrations, acting as a knowledgeable extension of the Software team for CONUS and OCONUS deployments.· Execute testing, calibration, and validation tasks during new system integration, upgrades, and repairs.· Ensure vessels and associated equipment are properly maintained, protected, and prepared for operations at all times.· Assist with the development of safety, operating, and procedural documentation as required.· Maintain a clean, organized work environment both at headquarters and deployed locations.*Required Skills / Abilities*· Understanding of distributed systems, control software, or autonomy frameworks.· Experience with software test plans, test cases, and defect tracking workflows.· Ability to articulate software behavior in operational terms.· Comfort working with logs, telemetry, and system health indicators.· Experience supporting software in mission-critical environments.· Strong verbal and written communication skills.· Ability to travel domestically and internationally.· Ability to work independently with minimal direction while supporting team-based operations.· Ability to be patient, objective, and professional when operating in foreign or challenging environments.*Education and Experience*· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field preferred.· Equivalent military or industry experience supporting software in operational environments acceptable.· Operational experience in unmanned or maritime systems strongly preferred.· Class A CDL license preferred*Additional Requirements*· Valid U.S. passport and driver's license required.· Ability to successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening. xijylhu · CDL license and carbon fiber fabrication/repair experience are a plus.Benefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
