Established in 1970, Orthopedic Associates of Hartford, P.C. is one of the area's largest and most respected orthopedic specialty groups. In support of high-quality patient care, we are currently seeking an experienced Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) to support our Physicians.If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.The MEA will be required to travel to several of our suburban locations weekly. Fast paced and challenging, you will interact with our physicians, patients, and other departments to provide the highest level of care for our patients. The MAA's primary purpose is to provide administrative support to our physicians and create an exceptional experience for the patient. Functions of the job include, but may not be limited to:Scheduling office visits, ancillary testsHeavy surgical scheduling Triaging callsPre-certifying procedures and testsAnswering a heavy volume of telephone callsObtaining and/or verifying patient demographic information including health history and insurance informationChecking out patientsScanningEnsuring patient confidentialityWorking Epic queue'sRegular communication with clinical and administrative staffTravel between our various sites is requiredPlacing order, refill requestOur ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic, able to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach while effectively assisting the physician's practice in all interactions, be a highly committed team player, a proactive self-starter, dependable, and able to be flexible in a changing environment.
