JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.Job Summary - Essential Functions/DutiesA Field Engineer IV performs as a lead on more complex field engineering assignments and perform a variety of engineering assignments involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic/mechanical equipment and systems.Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems.Performs as network lead on network field engineering assignments.Requires experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies.Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructure.Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards.Experience with network layers 2/2 and TDM networking equipment.Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects.Ability to manage, troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure.Desired QualificationsExperience with CISCO network equipment.Experience with CIENA Optical Transport Network equipment.Requirements - Education, Technical, and Work ExperienceAn associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 12 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position.In addition, a Telecom Engineer must possess the following qualifications:Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable performance as a senior technical contributor on complex projects or programsKnowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty areaWorking knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programsAbility to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and softwareExcellent communication and analytical skillsPlanning/organizational skillsSalaryThe expected salary range for this position is $93,600 to $135,200 annually.Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
