Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills..Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement new capabilities and custom software solutions to solve unique government customer problemsFollow best practices to write well-tested, high performing codeIdentify and resolve issues found in existing codeIntegrate capabilities with external services and toolsParticipate in code reviews and mentor team membersCommunicate status and technical details with customersRequirementsThe following minimum qualifications are required for the position:Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant STEM fieldActive DoD SECRET clearance or higherU.S. Citizenship requiredHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality3+ years experience writing, maintaining, debugging, and testing codeExperience developing web applicationsExperience with server-side languages, preference toward Python, and/or Golang, NodeJSExperience with frontend Single Page Application frameworks (i.e., React, Vue, and Angular)Experience with version control software (e.g., Git)Experience with bug/issue tracking software such as JIRACandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:Experience with software container development (e.g., Docker)Experience with a variety of data storage technologies (document stores, object stores, relational databases, etc)Experience with Kubernetes and HelmExperience using CI/CD pipelines including ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and JenkinsActive DoD TS/SCI clearanceBenefitsSciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:4% Safe Harbor 401(k) match100% company paid HSA Medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up options80% company paid Dental insurance100% company paid Vision insurance100% company paid Life insurance100% company paid Long-term Disability insuranceShort-term Disability insuranceAnnual Profit-Sharing PlanDiscretionary Performance BonusPaid Parental LeaveGenerous Paid Time Off, including Holiday, Vacation, and Sick payFlexible Work hoursThe pay range for this position is $88,000-$130,000.
