Gymnastics Team Coach: Xcel, Optional, Compulsory Coach

Active Athletics, located in Littleton has an immediate need to add to our coaching staff.Not sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.*Xcel Team Coach for Platinum and Diamond:*The Xcel Team Gymnastics Coaches are responsible for leading and coaching a group of gymnasts in a competitive team setting. Their primary role is to design and implement training programs that help gymnasts develop the physical skills, techniques, and routines necessary to compete successfully in gymnastics competitions. Understand the meaning of Xcel and why gymnasts have chosen this avenue. This position is at least a year long commitment, for 3-5 days each week (schedule includes afternoons, evenings, and weekends during competition season). Starting pay depends on experience. Must be able to spot higher levels skills and manage teenage athletes.Responsibilities: *Develop and implement training programs that focus on building the physical skills, techniques, and routines necessary for gymnastics competitions. * Work with gymnasts to identify their strengths and weaknesses and create individualized training plans to help them improve. *Provide emotional support and motivation to athletes, encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. * Ensure that all team members follow proper safety procedures and equipment usage guidelines. *Communicate with parents and athletes about schedules, expectations, and team events including competitions. * Collaborate with other coaches and staff members as needed regarding team practices, competitions, and scheduling. *Attend all competitions and oversee the team's performance, providing feedback and making adjustments as needed. * Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. *Perform other duties as assigned.**Compulsory Coach*Active Athletics is seeking a dedicated *Compulsory Coach* with strong knowledge of *Dev compulsory routines Levels 2-5*. This coach will work closely with our staff to help develop athletes from *Pre-Team through Level 5*.*Requirements:** *2-3+ years of experience* coaching Dev compulsory Levels 2-5* Full understanding of compulsory routines on *beam, bars, floor, and vault** Familiarity with the *TOPs program* and general athlete development* Ability to follow structured lesson plans and adhere to team-wide training schedules* Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a coaching team* Able to coach independently when needed and maintain professionalism* Provide references from previous gyms and *competition results* from athletes you have coached* Availability for *9-16 hours per week*, including Pre-Team classes*What We Offer:** Supportive, team-driven environment* Competitive and collaborative coaching community* Opportunity to help athletes grow within a well-structured compulsory program*Optional Coach*Active Athletics is looking for a motivated, hard-working Optional and platinum-sapphire Coach for a Full/Part-time position. Individual(s) should have experience coaching at the Optional Level and higher Xcel level as well as previous or current USAG Professional Membership including Safe Sport. Continued Certification and/or Certification is required withing 10 days of hire and/or Continued Certification. Evening, weekend, meet hours, and meet travel required.Responsibilities:- Plan and lead gymnastics classes for children primarily at the level 6-10 and platinum-sapphire- Team coaches work together on programming, lesson planning, based on rotation schedule.- Teach proper techniques and form for gymnastics skills and routines- Create a safe and positive learning environment for all participants- Provide feedback and encouragement to help athletes improve their skills- Ensure the gym area is clean and organized before and after each class- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concernsMust be able to spot optional level skills and drills with all sized athletesQualifications:- 7+ years of experience in gymnastics coaching and 3+ years in optional coaching- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and interact with students, parents, and staff- Ability to manage behavior in a positive manner and maintain a safe environment- Physical fitness and ability to demonstrate/guide gymnastics skills, including climbing, balancing, and tumblingWe offer competitive compensation based on experience. xijylhu If you are passionate about gymnastics and enjoy working with children, we would love to hear from you.
