Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This position is for a School Psychologist serving K-12 students in an urban setting across multiple schools located in Flint, MI, with travel assignments also in the Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas. The role begins March 16, 2026, through June 12, 2026, with a likely opportunity for renewal in the fall. This is a full-time onsite position averaging 35 hours per week with an approximate caseload of 60 students, primarily with mild to moderate disabilities.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students ages K-12Collaborate with school staff and families to develop appropriate educational plansUtilize knowledge of special education regulations, including the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and IDEA federal regulationsProvide culturally responsive services suited for an urban student populationMaintain accurate documentation including copies of certifications and transcriptsQualifications:Must hold a valid Michigan license and School Psychologist certificationExperience working within urban school districts preferredStrong understanding of challenges faced by urban children and resource coordination for students and familiesFamiliarity with special education laws, particularly MARSE and IDEA guidelinesAbility to work onsite across multiple school locations with occasional travel between Flint, Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areasAdditional Information:The Flint Community district follows a balanced school year calendar, which includes 5 weeks of intercession breaks in addition to standard holidays; work during intercession is not guaranteedCandidates should be prepared to discuss their approach to supporting urban students and families during the interview processThis role offers an opportunity to impact the educational and emotional development of diverse urban youth directly. xijylhu Qualified candidates with the appropriate licensing and experience are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered.
