Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Geauga Regionals Medical Center Cath Lab is a small group of dedicated cardiac professionals who enjoy the challenge of treating cardiac, peripheral and interventional Radiology procedures. EP pacemaker and ICD implants are also done in our cath lab. Plenty of variety! Our team enjoys caring for these patients at some of the most stressful times in their lives. Continuous education, in-services and shadowing over a minimum 3 month period are priority before you would be placed on call, insuring your confidence and that of your team mates. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Shift:Hours:  8 hour shifts; 7:00-3:30 p.m.; This is an outpatient department & the staff works until the cases are complete.Call Requirement: 30 - 35 minutes arrival to hospital after page Qualifications1 year of RN experience preferred.Preferred experience: ICU, ED, Cath/EP Lab;  will orient nurses to critical care if no critical care experienceEducation QualificationsDiploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required).(BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred).Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
