Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A School Psychologist opportunity is available in the Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas, supporting K-12 students with mild to moderate disabilities. This contract position runs from March 16, 2026, through June 12, 2026, with a strong possibility of renewal for the fall term. The role involves a 35-hour workweek and an estimated caseload of approximately 60 students.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for K-12 students.Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support student needs.Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal guidelines.Provide insights and strategies aligned with special education regulations, including Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and IDEA federal regulations.Work onsite within an urban school district framework, supporting diverse student populations.Preferred Qualifications:Valid Michigan license and School Psychologist certification.Experience working within urban educational settings.Understanding of challenges faced by urban children and appropriate resources to address their needs.Knowledge of the MARSE guidelines and IDEA federal regulations.Ability to provide documentation such as transcripts and certification copies.Additional Details:Position is located primarily in Grand Blanc but also covers Lansing and Detroit areas.The school district follows a Balanced School Year Calendar, incorporating five weeks of intercession breaks in addition to standard school holidays, though intercession work is not guaranteed.Candidates should be comfortable working in an urban environment and responsive to related challenges.This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on diverse K-12 student populations within an urban educational setting. xijylhu Interested professionals with the required licensure and experience are encouraged to apply.
