Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver specialized nursing care in a critical care setting supporting cardiac and ICU step-down patients in a 16-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio. This role suits an experienced RN ready to apply advanced skills including ventilator management and titratable drip administration on a night shift schedule. The position offers 36 weekly guaranteed hours, working every other weekend from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with no call obligations and holiday coverage as needed.Key Qualifications and Experience:Valid RN license with 2+ years in critical care nursingCurrent ACLS certification requiredProficiency with ventilators, titratable drips, and critical care monitoringExperience with Epic electronic medical records preferredComfort in a team-oriented environment managing ICU and cardiac patientsFlexibility to float to step-down or other critical care units as neededResponsibilities:Provide direct patient care in a cardiac step-down environmentMonitor and manage complex patient conditions requiring ventilator support and medication titrationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomesMaintain compliance with facility policies including secure medication handling (drawer key issued)Adhere to prescribed dress code, wearing navy scrubs (hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted)Location Overview:Positioned in Indianapolis, this unit is located on the 3rd floor Heart Center at a centrally accessible healthcare campus.
