Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide advanced nursing care in a specialized critical care step-down unit within a progressive healthcare setting in Greenwood, IN. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise in ventilator management and titratable drips while working with a focused team caring for ICU and cardiac patients.Location Overview:The unit is a 16-bed step-down critical care unit located on the third floor of a renowned heart center. Patient ratios maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient balance, ensuring attentive, high-quality care. The environment supports professional growth with access to advanced equipment such as ventilators and utilizes the Epic electronic medical record system.Responsibilities:Deliver skilled nursing care in a critical care step-down setting, managing complex patients with cardiac and ICU needsMonitor and manage ventilators and titratable drips with precisionCollaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plansEnsure adherence to safety protocols and unit policies, including medication and sharps storage securityParticipate in weekend shifts every other weekend from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with no on-call responsibilitiesAssist with float duties across step-down and other critical care units as requiredQualifications & Desired Experience:Active RN license with 2+ years of critical care or step-down nursing experienceACLS certification requiredProficient in ventilator management and titratable IV dripsExperience with ICU cardiac patients preferredComfortable working within a team-oriented environmentNavy scrubs required; hoodies and sweatshirts are not permittedSchedule:36 guaranteed weekly hoursEvery other weekend shifts (Friday and Saturday nights)Holidays as needed; no call requirementsThis contract opportunity enables you to engage in a dynamic clinical setting with focused patient populations, enhancing your critical care skills. xijylhu The role includes issuance of essential equipment such as the medication/sharps drawer key.If you are a dedicated RN with the ability and desire to provide exceptional care in a critical care step-down unit, apply now to advance your nursing career and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
