Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An onsite opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide maternity leave coverage at an elementary school serving students in self-contained autism classrooms. The position is located in Schaumburg, Illinois, with a potential mid-April start date (start may be earlier) and continues through May 28. This contract role requires approximately 20 hours per week over 3 days, with flexibility to split hours across 4 to 5 days if preferred.Key Responsibilities:Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with individual IEP goals for eligible students.Collaborate closely with special education staff and classroom teams to enhance student participation, functional skill development, and access within autism support programs.Support students primarily in self-contained classrooms focused on autism.Qualifications & Experience:Active Illinois state license for Occupational Therapist or valid COTA certification.Prior experience working with students with autism is highly preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with educational staff.Location:Onsite position in Schaumburg, IL.This role offers the chance to contribute specialized therapy services in a supportive and focused educational environment, working directly with students to improve their functional and developmental outcomes.If you hold the appropriate licensure or certification and have experience within school-based settings supporting students with autism, consider applying for this rewarding maternity leave coverage opportunity.
