San Francisco Animal Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to add to our Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience running anesthetic procedures with a boarded surgeon, ventilator experience prefered but not required, or a strong desire to be trained in this area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients through high-quality patient care.Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Strong candidates will be proficient in animal handling - including fear free restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, taking radiographs, and obtaining lab samples, managing/running anesthetic cases (ASA 1-5), and running advanced diagnostics. We look for staff members to be enthusiastic team players, self-motivated, with attention to detail. Applicants need to be comfortable with medical calculations, including but not limited to drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and fluid additives.
