In addition, the Faculty Physician will provide administrative support to the Residency program through curriculum design and evaluation, planning, clinical supervision, special projects, and program development.Job RolesCompletes all required documentation accurately, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements, including medication reconciliation, finalizing notes, and clearing out personal pool.Provides administrative support to the Residency program through curriculum design and evaluation, planning, clinical supervision, special projects, and program development. Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees."¯ Serve on residency program committees as assigned"¯Provides direct patient care in Residency clinic.Provides precepting and evaluation of the performance of residents.Teach residents in the Residency program, through a variety of mediums, including lectures, seminars, conferences, and direct patient care in residency clinic.Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care"¯Participate in scheduled staff meetings, committees, quality improvement activities, and peer review as needed."¯Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program."¯ Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct."¯Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents during NRMP recruitment"¯Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements"¯Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools"¯Participate in scholarship, preferably in collaboration with residents"¯Actively participate in faculty development initiatives"¯Serve as a course director in Residency program required and elective rotations, if needed"¯Performs other duties as assigned.Education/Certifications/Licenses/RegistrationsAbility and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County.
