A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.We have a full-time opportunity for a BC/BE Intensivist to join our well-established Critical Care practice at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.This position is a daytime flexible block schedule.Manage Critical Care patients in a busy ICU.Create, direct, coordinate, and supervise the patient care plans dailyConduct/order diagnostic tests, and analyze results and prescribe indicated treatments and therapiesRefer patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriateWork as part of an integrated team with care management, nursing, pharmacy, etc.Assist in patient education and goal settingParticipate and adhere to all quality metrics and goals as established and directed by Adfinitas or the client/hospitalPartner with and oversee Advanced Practice ProvidersSubmit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performedLead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluationsAttend committee, CQI and management meetings, as appropriateManage ventilatorsComplete central linesPerform intubationsComply with policies and procedures regarding department operationsEstablish and maintain records, reports and statistical dataREQUIREMENTSBE/BC in Critical Care MedicineStrong inpatient skill setQuality-focused team playerExperience working with advanced practice providersExcellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamEffective oral and written communication skillsCommitment to providing exceptional patient careActive state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance RegistrationABOUT US - ADFINITAS HEALTHAdfinitas Health is a rapidly growing and multispecialty medical practice.
