Job DescriptionIncrease your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.Location: Austin Market, TX (Temple & Marble Falls)Schedule: Flexible | Part-Time | RemoteOrganization: NextCare Urgent CareRole OverviewNextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Texas-licensed Physician (MD or DO) to serve as a Supervising Physician supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in our Temple and Marble Falls, Texas clinics.This is a non-clinical, oversight-focused role. The Supervising Physician will not see patients, will not work clinic shifts, and will not function as a site medical director. The primary focus of this role is regulatory-compliant supervision, clinical mentorship, and quality oversight in alignment with Texas Medical Board requirements.This position is ideal for experienced physicians seeking a flexible, remote-friendly leadership role without the demands of shift-based patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide regulatory supervision for Physician Assistants as required by Texas regulationsEstablish and maintain written supervision and delegation agreementsBe available for clinical consultation via phone or electronic communication during clinic operating hoursConduct structured chart reviews and provide clinical feedbackParticipate in quality assurance and compliance documentationSupport prescribing oversight and adherence to established clinical protocolsCollaborate with medical leadership, credentialing, and operations teams as neededQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical programActive, unrestricted Texas medical licenseActive DEA registrationBoard Certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferredPrior urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience strongly preferredKnowledge of APP supervision requirements under Texas lawPosition DetailsSchedule: Flexible, part-timeSetting: Remote / Administrative (occasional site visits may be required for compliance or audits)Patient Care: None requiredCompensation: Competitive monthly stipendLiability Coverage: Professional malpractice insurance provided by NextCareWhy Join NextCareNextCare is one of the nation's largest urgent care providers, operating more than 160 clinics nationwide.
