Job DescriptionJob DescriptionINSURANCE MANAGER - FULL-TIME (ONSITE) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours events Location: Hudson Valley Compensation: $75,000-$80,000 annuallyPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Seeking a licensed and experienced Insurance Manager to lead agency operations, elevate service quality, and support continued growth across multiple service centers. Candidates must review the qualifications carefully and ensure all relevant skills and experience are clearly reflected on their resume.Required Skills and Abilities• Active Property & Casualty license.• Strong knowledge of insurance agency operations, including AMS 360 and PL Rater.• Thorough understanding of insurance industry practices and regulatory requirements.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and motivate staff.• Excellent command of written and verbal professional communication.• Knowledge of customer service principles, service quality standards, and client satisfaction evaluation.• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and government processes.• Familiarity with human behavior, motivation, performance management, and training methodologies.• Proficiency in curriculum design, instructional methods, and training evaluation.• Strong mathematical foundation, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.Education and Experience Requirements• Bachelor's Degree: Minimum 5 years of proven insurance experience• Master's Degree: Minimum 1 year of proven insurance experience• No Degree: Minimum 10 years of proven insurance experienceEssential Duties and Responsibilities• Ensure all staff are properly trained, certified, and supported in their roles.• Develop and implement programs that promote agency growth and enhance brand reputation.• Compile, monitor, and report on sales performance; provide reinforcement and guidance across service centers.• Maintain accurate sales and operational data, adjusting strategies as needed.• Lead and assist in developing insurance promotions and marketing initiatives.• Plan and deliver training at all levels, including sales, product knowledge, vendor relations, and operational procedures.• Maintain detailed records and provide management with regular operational updates.• Develop strategies to expand sales within existing accounts and support new business acquisition.• Perform senior agent duties and stay current on industry trends, communicating updates to staff.• Meet with carrier representatives to review new programs or services and relay relevant information to the team.• Oversee computer contracts, prepare for negotiations, implement system enhancements, and coordinate related training.• Direct and manage staff to ensure efficient, high-quality operations.Comprehensive Benefits Health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) Business casual environment with team celebrations and recognition programs Generous paid time off to support work-life balance Clear pathways for advancement and professional developmentEqual Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here: pay transparency policy is available here: temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
