This role is ideal for professionals with specialized certification in recreational or therapeutic recreation, delivering vital services to a small caseload of students across multiple school sites.Key Responsibilities:Provide weekly therapeutic sessions tailored to each students needs:45-minute sessions for one student30-minute sessions for two students85-minute session for one studentConduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust plans accordinglyParticipate in annual Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with educators, families, and support teamsQualifications:Possession of one of the following certifications: California Board of Recreation and Park Certification National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association in recreation or therapeutic recreationExperience working in school environments or with children requiring therapeutic support is preferredExcellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teamsSchedule and Location:Part-time commitment, approximately 5-10 hours per weekServices provided at multiple school sites within the Santa Clarita, CA areaThis role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningful therapeutic support within an educational setting, making a positive impact on students well-being and development.
