This is a permanent, hospital-employed position serving a high-volume women's health service line in a Level II NICU setting.Schedule & CoverageFull-time: 7.5 24-hour shifts per monthPart-time consideration: minimum of 5.5 24-hour shifts per month (benefit eligible)Active Texas license required to start ASAPLocal residency required; relocation may be necessaryClinical Volume & Practice ScopeApproximately 1,924 deliveries annuallyHospitalists perform both vaginal and Cesarean deliveriesCesarean section rate of approximately 40%2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB/GYN triage visits per year1,229 OBED consults annuallyResponsibilitiesOB triage, admissions, deliveries, and inpatient careCare for unassigned patients and support xijylhu private call coverageCoverage of OB floor and GYN emergency consults from the ERAssist with Cesarean sections and other surgical proceduresRespond to labor and delivery emergenciesCollaborate with in-house neonatologists, neonatal NPs, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists for high-risk pregnancies
