Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This full-time physical therapy position offers an opportunity to support students across multiple schools within the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, primarily in Central and North-Central Durham. The role involves providing on-site therapy services to an approximate caseload of 30-40 students ranging in age and needs, within elementary, middle, and high school settings. The contract runs through early June 2026.Key Responsibilities:Deliver physical therapy services in school settings, following designated schedules aligned with bell times at elementary (7:45 AM 2:15 PM), middle (8:30 AM 3:15 PM), and high schools (9:15 AM 4:15 PM).Manage caseload effectively with visits spanning approximately 5 to 9 schools, adjusting visit frequency based on each school's requirements.Collaborate with school staff and families to create and implement individualized therapy plans.Maintain records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies.Qualifications:Active Physical Therapist licensure required.Previous school-based physical therapy experience necessary.Ability to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) on-site.Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple school locations and student caseloads.Flexibility to adapt to varying needs within the district.Work Location:On-site work within Durham Public Schools in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina.Benefits:Exposure to diverse student populations across multiple school environments.Opportunity to develop specialized skills in pediatric school-based therapy.Contract position with support for credentialing and onboarding processes.Qualified candidates interested in this role should be prepared for a prescreening interview to assess fit.
