Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A school-based opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) to support students from Pre-K through 6th grade. This contract position, based in the Arlington, TX area, offers the chance to work on-site within a supportive educational environment, focusing on a single campus dedicated to serving students with hearing differences.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive evaluations and manage individualized education plans for D/HH students.Attend ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings to collaborate on student progress and accommodations.Interpret audiograms to tailor educational strategies that meet student needs.Provide specialized instruction and support for students in grades PreK-6, ensuring educational access and success.Manage a caseload effectively with attention to individualized student goals.Qualifications and Experience:Active Texas teaching license for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.Prior Texas school-based teaching experience is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of educational strategies for D/HH students.Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families.Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting.Position Details:Location: Arlington, TX (On-site only)Contract Duration: ASAP start through May 21, 2026Work Hours: 21-35 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week (7-hour school days)Caseload: Servicing one campus supporting students from Pre-K to 6th gradeThis role is ideal for educators passionate about making an impact on the academic and social development of students with hearing impairments. xijylhu If you hold an active D/HH license through TEA and seek a meaningful contract assignment, apply now to contribute your expertise in this specialized educational setting.
