Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A paraprofessional opportunity is available in the Denver, CO area to support students in special education classrooms. This contract position, starting immediately and continuing through May 22, 2026, focuses on delivering direct assistance to students with significant needs within an elementary school setting.Key responsibilities:Provide support in special education classrooms with at least one full year of SPED experience requiredWork primarily with students who have significant or severe caseload needs (experience preferred)Assist with daily activities including toileting and diapering as necessaryMaintain flexibility to be reassigned to different school sites and age groups within the districtAdhere to start times of 7:40 AM for elementary school settings (8:00 AM for middle/high if applicable)Complete fingerprinting immediately upon offer acceptance, with any felony or misdemeanor records resulting in disqualificationEnsure reliable transportation to and from the assigned school (personal vehicle preferred, as public or ride-share options are not accepted)Qualifications and requirements:Minimum one year of experience working in special education classroomsProven ability to manage significant or severe student caseloadsAbility to adapt to different school environments and age groups promptlyReliable transportation and punctual attendanceTWO completed Professional RefAssured references must be submitted with the applicationcandidates without these will not be consideredLocation of candidate must be presented with application materialsThis position offers 36.25 hours per week in an elementary school setting with a salary guideline at or below $25/hour.
