Job DescriptionIf you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide specialized educational support as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for students from PreK to 6th grade in a vibrant school setting in Dallas, TX. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site within a dedicated campus, focusing on students with hearing impairments.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with hearing impairments.Interpret audiograms to tailor educational approaches.Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to ensure appropriate educational planning.Manage and support a caseload of students from PreK through 6th grade.Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student learning and communication.Qualifications & Experience:Possession of an active Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) teaching license through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).Previous experience in Texas school settings preferred, demonstrating familiarity with state standards and student needs.Strong understanding of educational strategies and communication methods for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Location & Schedule:On-site position based in Dallas, Texas.Full-time or part-time options available, ranging from 21 to 35 hours per week.Minimum commitment of 3 days per week with 7-hour workdays.Contract duration from the start date until May 21, 2026.This role offers a rewarding opportunity to impact young learners lives through specialized instruction and support.
