This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, variety, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.Clinicians at NextCare enjoy true work-life balance, including no after-hours charting, flexible scheduling, and monthly schedules released in advance. Full-time schedules are designed so clinicians are off more days than they work.You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound managementCommunicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearlyDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarksPractice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and valuesRequired QualificationsActive, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA licenseBoard certification or eligibility, as applicablePA: NCCPA certificationNP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)Active DEA license or ability to obtainAbility to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)Preferred QualificationsPrior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-readAbout NextCareNextCare is one of the nations largest urgent care providers, operating more than 160 clinics across 11 states.
