Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.SummaryFaculty Position: Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist at the Assistant or Associate Member level to fill a faculty position in its growing Behavioral Medicine Service, which is part of the Supportive Care Medicine Department. About Our Department:Moffitt Cancer Center's Supportive Care Program is dedicated to the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our patients. We know cancer affects patients on more than just a cellular level. It takes a personal toll, as well. That's why we provide interdisciplinary supportive care in the same location as clinical treatment to ensure easy access to these important services. Our goal is to treat the whole person - not just the disease - and provide expert guidance for whatever obstacles a patient may encounter during treatment. Responsibilities include:Providing combined medication management and psychotherapy services in the outpatient clinic in close collaboration with other oncologic and supportive services.Providers should have proficiency with inpatient consult-liaison care for the purpose of cross-coverage or blended inpatient/outpatient schedules.Care may also involve the collaboration with and supervision of nurse practitioners or physician assistants.Participation in academic projects including educational programs and/or research activities is expected.The ideal candidate will have experience with inpatient consultation liaison practice and/or a psycho-oncology background. Requirements:Applicants must have a Florida medical license as an M.D. or D.O. and be board certified or eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and must become board certified within five (5) years of initial appointment.
