Job DescriptionIs this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.Olympia Fields Franciscan Medical Pavilion3700 203rd St Olympia Fields, Illinois 60461WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC is seeking aBoard-Certified Internal Medicine physician to join the faculty team for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and provide oversight for residents at our Outpatient Ambulatory Clinic.The ideal candidate will possess:- Board Certification in Internal Medicine- Experience in the education and training of medical students, residents, or fellows- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills- Experience in scholarly activity- Strong organizational management skills and competencies in trainee oversight- Proficiency in teaching and curriculum development and implementationThe selected physician will play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, collaborating closely with the Program Director and fellow faculty members.Key Responsibilities:Provide primary health care in a community-based setting for a panel of patients over timeDevelop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle modifications.Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.Option to engage in part-time faculty outpatient practiceParticipate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellowsServe as a role model, demonstrating excellence in teaching, patient care, professionalism, and scholarship.Supervise up to four residents per clinic session in patient care deliveryEducate learners on relevant disease states, focusing on pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, risk mitigation, and preventionSupport residents in attaining ACGME core competencies within the programs continuity clinicOversee resident preparation for ABIM and AOBIM certifying examinationsContribute to didactic education for learners, including conferences, journal clubs, and case presentationsEvaluate and provide timely, constructive feedback to learners both in person and in writingServe as a faculty mentorEngage in professional development for physicians in the outpatient ambulatory clinicStay current with advancements in internal medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.Engage in scholarly activities, facilitating resident participation in innovation, investigation, and process improvement initiativesEngage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operationsCollaborate in administration of the Internal Medicine residency programAttend program meetings, including the semiannual Clinical Competency CommitteemeetingsParticipate in the review and development of curriculum and policiesWHO WE ARE:Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC has assembled an unmatched team of accomplished physicians to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages across a broad spectrum of specialties and disciplines.
