Job DescriptionIf your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI is seeking a full time Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician to function as an OB hospitalist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Shifts range from 10 to 24 hours depending on preference.  Henry Ford Hospital-Detroit has received the Joint Commission Maternal Levels of Care IV verification and offers level III perinatal services. Maternal Fetal Medicine consults, Neonatology, and in-house Anesthesia coverage are available 24/7 with an average of 200 deliveries per month.? All OB/GYN specialties are represented in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology which includes a 20-resident ACGME-accredited training program and a clinically strong OB/GYN generalist service and high-risk antepartum unit.  Responsibilities: • Management of residents as they evaluated and treat patients in the emergency room, OB triage, labor and delivery and the OR • Provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and other learners • Complete OB and GYN consults, including those from the Emergency Department • Perform minor GYN surgeries We offer competitive compensation and benefits and paid professional liability insurance. • Board-certified or Board-eligible OB/GYN (MD or DO) • Willing to work days, nights and weekends• Clinically motivated and have prior experience in a high acuity obstetrics setting • An exceptional communicator • Devoted to providing quality, patient-centered care • Strongly interested in resident and medical student educationAdditional InformationOrganization: Henry Ford Medical GroupDepartment: OB_GYN - New Center DetroitShift: Day JobUnion Code: Not ApplicableThis posting represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
