This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a dynamic physician leader to help craft the future of hospice care within the broader Penn Medicine network.The Hospice Medical Director has overall responsibility for medical direction of the Hospice patients' care, and will partner closely with hospital and health system leadership to align departmental goals with Penn Medicine's mission and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical experience, strategic insight, and a passion for fostering collaboration and clinical excellence.The RoleAs the clinical and administrative leader for hospice services, the Medical Director will have the following accountabilities:Responsibilities to Patients and FamiliesRegulatory ComplianceEducation & QualityClinical CareCommunicationLeadershipQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or PM&R, along with appropriate Board CertificationCandidates must have or be eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania and New JerseyCompletion of a Hospice & Palliative Care fellowship preferredHospice Medical Director certification preferredRobust clinical experience in the home and inpatient Hospice settingDemonstrated leadership experience in a complex healthcare organizationProven ability to build teams, inspire collaboration, and achieve measurable quality and operational outcomesAbout Penn Medicine HospiceAt Penn Medicine, we're committed to providing compassionate hospice care that allows people to remain at home.
