Our large practice, Hematology Oncology Medical Specialists of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, is a high functioning team that is well supported and serves an interesting and diverse community. Critical to our mission success is focus on building our team, maintaining provider quality of life, continuing education, and job satisfaction.We are a successful member of CMS Oncology Care Model and  our cancer program is an integrated part of Penn Medicine Cancer Service Line, sharing site-specific oncology disease teams, which focus on quality, safety, and program growth. We are looking for forward thinking physicians who share our focus on quality, patient satisfaction and financial stability and are interested in leadership. All physicians are encouraged to pursue research and areas of clinical focus. Being part of Penn Medicine creates additional cross-system research and growth opportunities for interested individuals.Our high-functioning professional multidisciplinary care team also includes  6 Advanced Practice Providers, nine nurse navigators, four social workers, two dieticians, two chaplains, three financial counselors, two Behavioral Health specialists and three physical therapists. We have two full time onsite licensed cancer Genetic Counselors, and a clinical research team.A normal work week is four full clinical days with evening, weekend and holiday call coverage  shared among all the medical oncologists.Our physicians practice in a single location, Penn Medicines Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, a 90,000 square foot state-of-the-art cancer center that provides medical, surgical, radiation, and palliative oncology (30 physicians) under one roof.
