Job DescriptionIf you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.St. Josephs Health is seeking a licensed and certified NNP, PNP, or Neonatal PA to join our Level III NICU team in Syracuse, NY for a full-time opportunity. This advanced practice role offers experienced NNPs or PNPs to work in a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that is equipped and staffed 24-hours a day to provide newborns from the Syracuse and surrounding areas critical care. We are seeking a compassionate Provider open to working three 12-hour shifts per week seeking to deliver high acuity care while enjoying excellent benefits and long-term professional growth.Position DetailsProvide direct neonatal care including:History and physical examsDaily roundsOrdering labs, imaging, and medicationsDischarge planningPatient and family educationManage neonatal ventilation and participate in ongoing care coordinationPerform advanced NICU procedures including:IntubationsChest tube placementUmbilical line placementVent managementCollaborate with Neonatologists, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Neonatology Nurse Practitioners, and the broader NICU teamSchedule includes a mix of days and nights within a structured 36-hour work weekOpportunity HighlightsLocation: St. Josephs Health Hospital, Syracuse, NYPredictable 36 hour workweek with blended day/night shiftsWork within a Level III, 14 bed NICU with a high-acuity neonatal patient populationStrong collaboration with neonatologists and experienced neonatal APPsHigh-impact role supporting vulnerable newborns, infants, and their familiesExcellent work-life balance in a highly organized care settingQualificationsLicensed Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician AssistantCurrent NYS licenseNeonatology experience requiredGraduate of an accredited NP or PA programStrong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work both independently and collaborativelyCommitment to high-quality neonatal care and family-centered practiceCompensationCompetitive salary range: $140,000 to $160,000The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. xijylhu Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and market factors in accordance with State law.Extra shift pay and shift differential payStarting, Retention, and Relocation Bonus eligible Benefits:Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coveragePaid malpractice, including tail coverageCME time & $2,500 expense allowancePaid time away from the practice403b Retirement savings programLoan Repayment: Our institution qualifies as an eligible employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
