This aligns with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Mission Statement to honor America's Veterans by providing exceptional healthcare that improves their health and well-being.Diagnostic Imaging Chief Key Responsibilities:Typical shift M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm, shared callPosition is 70-80% administrative; 20-30% clinicalGenerally, outpatient with varying inpatient imaging requestsEffective and efficient management/supervision of SLVHS radiology programs/servicesExercising administrative, programmatic, clinical, and academic oversight of radiology programs to ensure delivery of quality, patient-focused clinical servicesReview and evaluate professional performance, competence, and professionalism of all individuals with clinical privilegesAssures all performance measures are metWhat We Offer:Competitive Salary: $370,000 - $400,000Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potential 5-day paid absence for CME.Retirement Benefits: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by VA.Comprehensive Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care, with many programs carrying into retirement.Flexibility: No physician employment contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.Professional Development: Up to 5 days paid leave and reimbursement of $1,000 per year.Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage providedPreferred Experience:Board Certified in Radiology.Additional fellowship training in one of the radiology specialties preferredPrior radiology leadership experience requiredMust be a U.S. Citizen.
