This is a unique leadership opportunity at a top-tier, integrated cancer center "” perfect for a surgeon eager to lead a growing program, shape clinical strategy, and deliver world-class head & neck oncology care to a rapidly expanding patient population in Northeast Florida.Why Join Us - Key HighlightsLead and shape the head & neck surgical oncology service line at a high-volume, multidisciplinary cancer center.Access to state-of-the-art facilities, modern ORs, and advanced imaging + diagnostic technologies.Collaboration with a comprehensive support team: medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, reconstructive surgery, lymphedema therapy, speech/nutrition/rehabilitation, genetic counseling, and dedicated APP support.Tumor board collaboration and integrated, multidisciplinary model of care that mirrors the standards of our partner network, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered oncology care.Opportunity for academic growth and involvement with research and clinical trials; potential for leadership and program development.Competitive compensation and full benefits package; support for CME, malpractice coverage, retirement/benefits.Practice in Jacksonville, FL "” a vibrant and growing region with appealing lifestyle, ocean proximity, and strong community growth.Responsibilities & Scope of PracticeMaintain an active clinical practice performing head & neck oncologic surgeries "” including management of benign and malignant tumors of head/neck, salivary glands, thyroid/parathyroid, oral cavity, larynx, pharynx, skin, skull base, and related structures. Provide leadership and oversight to the Head & Neck Surgery Section: develop program vision, support team building, mentor junior surgeons/faculty, coordinate with multidisciplinary oncology and support services. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitative services, and supportive care teams to design and implement comprehensive treatment plans.Oversee quality standards, program operations, and integration with broader cancer center processes.Potential involvement in research, clinical trials, and academic/educational activities (depending on candidate interest and center support). QualificationsM.D. or equivalent medical degree.Completion of an ACGME- or AHNS-accredited Head & Neck Surgical Oncology fellowship (with microvascular reconstructive surgery experience strongly preferred). Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (or equivalent surgical specialty).Eligible for, or currently hold, an unrestricted Florida medical license (and DEA license if required).Demonstrated expertise in head & neck oncology surgery; record of clinical excellence, and ideally exposure to complex tumor resections, reconstructive surgery, and multidisciplinary oncology care.Strong leadership, communication, and team-oriented skills "” able to lead a section, collaborate across specialties, and mentor junior clinicians/faculty.About Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center & CommunityBaptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is part of a nationally partnered cancer care network, committed to delivering comprehensive, integrated oncology care based on the proven care model of one of the world's leading cancer centers.
