Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A specialized pediatric physical therapist role is available for Extended School Year (ESY) service in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This contract position focuses on school-based physical therapy services to support students with moderate to severe needs across multiple locations, including Doylestown and surrounding areas.Key Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services to students in various school settings and group homes, adhering to individualized education plans.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapy goals tailored to student needs.Maintain accurate documentation and participate in progress monitoring throughout the ESY program.Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate varying ages, diagnoses, and environments.Attend orientation and setup sessions prior to program start.Qualifications and Experience:Current and active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) licensure for Physical Therapy.Experience working in school settings, particularly with children who have moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral challenges.Reliable transportation and residence within a 35-minute commute of assigned locations.Ability to commit to the full ESY schedule, which runs Monday through Thursday, June 29 July 30, 2026, with student service hours generally between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Candidates must have at least a one-year gap if previously engaged with the client through another agency.Locations and Schedule:Positions available in Lower, Central, Upper Bucks County, and Doylestown areas.Hours per week vary by site, ranging approximately from 12 to 24 hours, with itinerant and center-based schedules.Exact classroom assignments and work locations will be confirmed in late May to early June, with efforts made to honor proximity to candidate residence and preferences.Additional Requirements:Submission of a current resume with bullet-point highlights.Proof of active licensure.One supervisor reference (not a coworker) with a minimum score of 3.5 on RefAssure if applicable.Completion of screening questions regarding credential understanding, availability, work preferences, and commute plans.This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student progress during the summer ESY program in a supportive school environment.
