Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A contract opportunity is available for skilled Physical Therapists specializing in school-based services. These positions support Extended School Year (ESY) programs in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, primarily centered around Doylestown with various service locations in Lower, Central, and Upper Bucks County. This role offers an engaging environment to provide critical therapy services to students with diverse needs during summer instructional periods.Responsibilities include delivering physical therapy services aligned with student IEPs, collaborating with educational staff, and adapting to varying schedules based on location and student enrollment. The ESY instructional period runs from June 29 to July 30, 2026, with service hours generally Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm for students, and slightly extended hours for center-based staff. Flexibility in working with students exhibiting moderate to severe needs and behaviors is essential.Qualifications and experience:Valid PA Department of Education (PDE) physical therapy licensure and credentials meeting school-based requirementsAbility to commit to the full ESY scheduleReliable transportation and residence within a 35-minute commute of assigned locationsPrevious school-based or related PT experience preferredWillingness to work across multiple Bucks County locations as neededStrong collaboration and communication skills with school teamsAbility to manage caseloads and classroom assignments that may vary by student and siteLocations and schedules vary by site:Itinerant positions in Lower and Central Bucks: 2-4 days per week, 8:45 am2:45 pmGroup home itinerant services in Upper Bucks: 2 days per week with variable hoursThis contract role offers a professional setting to impact students physical development and school success within a supportive educational community.
